- Show pictures of water in different forms (liquid, ice, steam).
*Activity 2: Water Fun with Food Coloring*
3. **Experiment with Colors:**
- Add a few drops of food coloring to a clear cup of water.
- Let students observe how the color spreads throughout the water.
- Discuss how water mixes with the color and changes it.
*Activity 3: Floating and Sinking*
4. **Which Objects Float?**
- Place a clear container of water in the middle.
- Show the students different small toys or objects.
- One by one, let the children drop objects into the water to see if they float or sink.
- Make a chart on chart paper with two columns labeled "Float" and "Sink."
- Place pictures or draw the objects in the appropriate columns.
**Conclusion (5 minutes):**
1. **Recap:**
- Ask the students what they learned about water today.
- Discuss the different forms of water: liquid, ice, and steam.
2. **Importance of Water:**
- Briefly explain why water is important for drinking, cooking, cleaning, and helping plants grow.
3. **Clean-Up:**
- Lead the students in cleaning up any water spills with towels.
4. **End with a Song:**

- Instruct the parents to help children draw or take pictures of their observations.
**Assessment:**
- Observe students' participation during the activities.
- Ask simple questions to check their understanding, such as "What happens to water when it gets very cold?" or "Can you tell me one thing that floats in water?"
This engaging lesson plan will ensure that Nursery 2 students grasp the basic characteristics of water while having fun with hands-on activities.
